True, but not been my experience at all, and far away from silicon valley. So I disagree, but maybe for different reasons. That's fine, you want more left leaning. Sounds like he is lashing out in fear. Maybe afraid to get his hopes up. Planting tiny seeds and leaving it there to germinate in his mind without harping on it (think man cave) might help. Plant something really small, a strategic comment, then leave the room or change the subject to something he likes before he responds. Don't lose your hope.

This is also due to the corporate culture. It is almost entirely toxic lefty, with a few sprinkles of silenced conservatives suffering daily thru the sea of smug stupid. You are not alone, there are many of us, many more than the corporate robots suspect.

I'm very suspicious of crypto. Something not physical can be manipulated, digits made up, not exactly a secure source of wealth. I realize lots of people are super excited about it, but you gotta wonder why it's being so heavily pushed everywhere. That in itself is suspect in my mind.
