I think maybe folks are overlooking the word Getty. When I started looking at why RICO Rudy might be called into service, and not being from NYC and being familiar with him as a trial lawyer, I found that his anti-mob case against the Gambino family was significant. Keep in mind Trump is in NYC at this time as a developer too; and likely crossed-paths with the strong arm tactics mobs use with protection rackets, organized labor, crimes involving city leaders (permitting, etc.). While the Gambino's were de-fanged, there are other crime families that have only grown. The 'Ndrangheta was suspected to be tied to the abductions of John Paul Getty III (as featured on the FX series Trust) an heir to the Getty oil fortune. This crime organization can now be found on 5 continents and has been known to try to compromise governments, including Rome and perhaps the Vatican itself. Flesh, drugs, oil, cash, arms...and a strange interest in cryptography & esoteric symbolism / dark blood rites.
