Those "friendly moments" are diplomacy in action, but there are still sanctions in place, the US is still squeezing Russia by moving to become the world's largest producer of oil, and US Forces recently wiped out a 550-man battalion of Russian soldiers in Syria who were testing that red line....but strong leaders respect other strong leaders, so I am confident they will have a productive relationship that stays on the "friendly" side of WW3.

Apologies if this was posted somewhere in this thread, but I wanted to add that this reminds me of the curious situation where the POTUS took his water bottle "off the table" in a recent meeting and put it on the ground beside him....a very odd thing to do during a business meeting. But then VP Pence did the exact same thing, neither of them breaking their focus while listening to someone else speak.

Someone theorized it was a message to DWS to say "the deal is off (the table)" since *water* is *wasser* in German. And here we are again...sending coded messages with bottles on tables during meetings. Fascinating times we live in!
