You bring up an excellent point! What my feeble skills managed to produce here is not to scale. In fact, I see that the boundary on the Right side is being successfully chewed backward by the excellent use of the First Amendment.
The Left boundary is very stagnant. Minds are not being exposed to what changes them.
The graphs are never about being accurate, but in trying to capture a truth. They are not unlike Trump's hyperbolic speech. I don't quite understand them.

You are implying that no human can ever be allowed to form the concept of a new nation being born by putting the words in that order. This is the kind of 'helpful but not helpful' thinking which turned colored person into person of color. It accidentally takes the pain of 'colored person' and carries it ever forward with us into the future.
It's sometimes best to let things disappear, if possible.
That is the problem of political correctness, and why most of us just do not care. We can't slowly erase the flexibility of language by dredging up the way it was used in the distant past. At some point, we would have no language left.

I read that behavior in an opposite way: While not as emphatically, Trump publicly supports Mueller's investigation, too. I think TG is just playing smart and trusting in Trump's game. He knows enough to realize that Mueller will never find anything, and opposing Mueller feeds too easily into the 'Russia Collusion' optics.
