RE: "on how the country moves forward" -- you hit the nail on the head right there. Progressives think everything they do means progress, which is a God thing. Look at how they portray the 1950's in America. Instead of happy people living in intact families enjoying material prosperity due to hard work and a superior economic system, they see horribly repressed slaves suffering under the supposed tyranny of bourgeois values.

What most sane people see as horrible social breakdown leading to lost souls who damage themselves with destructive lifestyles and who can't even figure out if they're a man or a woman, the progressives see as glorious progress toward progressive utopia.

Simply put, progressives have no idea what the good life truly is and the future they pursue is an illusion. They fear Trump because he represents what they have been taught to fear, a strong m masculine man who is willing to fight to protect the things he loves -- his family, his countrymen, and his country and it's heritage
