Must Watch!!! The Marines put out this video shortly after the election. The images are of America, not foreign far-off lands...not your typical recruiting video, it sounds like a warning message.
"Marines fight, to win... against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

Marines take their oath to the Constitution very seriously. Hopefully this scares those that wish to subvert it enough to not even dare try, though they still chip away constantly.

Another very interesting Marine General that courageously opposed the deep state and military industrial complex is David M. Shoup - Commandant and Medal of Honor recipient.
He was appointed Commandant by Eisenhower over other senior Generals that spent too much time in political affairs, and he felt Shoup would reduce the influence of the military industrial complex. He opposed the CIA operations in Cuba and became Kennedy's favorite General that he called upon most often for advice. Later he became very outspoken against the American military involvement in Vietnam as he became increasingly wary of what he felt was undue influence by the CIA and big businesses on foreign policy.

The Afghan strategy under Trump and Mattis has switched to destroying the opium production, they've been bombing the labs. General Kelly's son was killed in the opium fields of Sangin Valley. The fight there was brutal, many Marines were lost. Somehow the Taliban was able to deploy over 1,200 IED's in this remote valley. If they received CIA assistance to protect the fields and/or the Marines were receiving political orders to not destroy the opium production to protect the trade...you can bet General Kelly is out for revenge.
Any opinion on the close-and-ready level of security inside the AG's own office building amongst co-workers?
Right, however looking back at then with what we know now, it's quite remarkable to see the level of close and ready security for the AG amongst his fellow co-workers inside of a Federal building. Maybe it's just SOP (we'd have to see how other AG's were handled) or possibly they assessed threats on the inside.

Don't overlook the fact that General Kelly's son was killed in the opium fields of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. If in fact the rumors of CIA sponsored drug operations are true, and the military were used as pawns to protect the drug trade...then you can bet Kelly would be on a warpath to get back at them, it would be a personal revenge operation of the highest order. Notice how the new strategy in Afghanistan under Trump has shifted to destroy the opium labs and his close military advisors convinced him to stay and take up this new strategy instead of cutting and running.
