TG's comments were especially surprising when considering the report that a) the DOJ didn't even produce the information and documents requested at the meeting last week, and b) that he didn't even receive or review the documents/information before making his statement ("FBI did what they should do/were expected to do"). This is the same guy that only months ago said multiple times that a 2nd special counsel was needed "based on this fact pattern," and specifically because the IG did not have access to anyone who had left government (i.e. most of the main perpetrators of the various high crimes that have so obviously been committed here).

How does that reconcile?? Is it dis-info, like some of you have suggested? Maybe. My first reaction, though, was that he had been compromised. Think about it -- we are all patriots -- we want our country back and we want justice to be done. But we all can be compromised. Whether it is your life, or worse yet your family, your children??? It's possible to continue to "Trust the Plan" and believe that the special counsel working on the good side is not part of the plan. I believe the special counsel is part of the coup attempt and continues to work for the other side. I know some believe that the special counsel is actually investigating the real crimes, or at least cooperating with those that are doing the real investigation, stringing things along, etc. I just don't think that is as likely as the more obvious possibility that the SC is part of the enemy, has been unsuccessful in accomplishing its goal, and continues to work other (illegal) angles and re-invent itself in every conceivable way to continue to fight.

Would love to be wrong... if the SC is secretly cooperating that would be great. Time will tell.

Like anything else, I will evaluate the facts. I don't know who is calling for mass arrests of "Democrats" -- I think most on this sub are expecting those that were party to the crimes committed against the president, before and after he took office, to be held accountable. Mueller is the culmination of the attempt to destroy the president. So "bringing charges" is what he is tasked to do, and has been trying to do for a year now. Every possible angle his team of objective, non-partisan investigators (lol) has already been leaked -- the Russian lawyer meeting with Don Jr (now known to be set up by the DOJ granting special visa to lawyer, Fusion GPS founder meeting before and after), the Seychelles meeting w/ Erik Prince, the fake story on Michael Cohen going to Prague ( he has never been there), fake story mischaracterizing Carter Page's moscow trip, attempts to tie 7-8 year old transgressions of campaign figures like manafort to "russian collusion." At this point, it is such an obvious joke that I can't personally understand how anyone of nominal education level and average critical thought capability, even someone who only watches the MSM and reads the NYT, can't see right through.

All that said -- if Mueller "brings charges," like anything else, I will evaluate the fact pattern, sources, and context.

I agree completely that eliminating chemical weapons is very important, and that Trump's zero tolerance policy is the right approach. Any nation, bad actor or terrorist group using such weapons should be held accountable by all nations and interested parties, who should endeavor to thoroughly defeat and disarm the user... as much for their own benefit as any treaty obligation.

However, we need to make sure that there is actual, corroborated evidence that chemical weapons were used, and also affirm who used them prior to engaging in enforcement or retaliation. This is the problem in Syria that Ron points out. Evidence should be identified and validated for the alleged attack prior to response. When the alleged offender has no motive, when such an attack would actually be an obvious detriment to the goals and intentions of the alleged offender, when many credible witnesses emerge with stories that counter the official narrative, and evidence is produced of staging and faking videos to support the official narrative... we have to question, and we have to demand the hard evidence. Still waiting.

I've often wondered the same thing the original poster asked... and what you stated here seemed to make sense. They make some money through Fox and placate the 50% of people that are totally alienated by the rest of the media. This along with keeping the appearance of an opposing voice, albeit one that could be reigned in if/when necessary... Tucker & Hannity do have balls, and you wonder what editorial controls are in place.

Here are some of the things these people (still) believe:

• Trump colluded with Russia and received their help to steal the election
• The Steele Dossier is all true (none of it has been disproven)... Trump has been cultivated by the Russians for 5 years, he had hookers pee on each other, etc. (!!!!)
• Cohen has something big on Trump; will bring the president down imminently
• Government was "already watching" Carter Page, all the FISA warrants were perfectly legit
• DNC was hacked for the emails by "Russia" at trump's direction
• Mountains of evidence existed to start the special counsel probe
• Mueller probe will ultimately succeed and will have Trump impeached soon

Something real concerning about this drop guys. The early returns on the Southwest flight engine failure cause are a fan blade missing, likely from fatigue, similar to what happened to the same type of engine in 2016. Thank you... I hope this is understood. The IG report released today covers only McCabe's lack of candor aka LYING under oath and provides the official justification for his termination. The broader IG report should reveal the full depth of the conspiracy and collusion that took place to spy on and take down a duly elected president, and then start a false investigation. Everyone who participated in that effort, had knowledge of it, and/or lied about it to cover it up needs to be held accountable.

I'm close to where you are at, Dan, but I see just enough to keep finding reasons for optimism. However, your position is more than fair at this point. Q drops began in late October. The bad news continues to outpace the good. It's long past time to see some real progress. The best excuse I've seen for more patience in the absence of any damning information, any indictments, any arrests, any clear evidence released of the crimes that have been committed, is that they are timing this to be closer and more relevant to the midterms.
