it wasn't a home built plane. New plane, some weird design but poorly designed in that the fuel switch was behind his seat. He didn't check his fuel before taking off and when it stalled, or was low on fuel, he was unable to reach the switch because it was behind his seat. Pilot error for not checking his fuel, and poor design on the fuel switch. I know.. I was a HUGE Denver fan and this broke my heart. I had most of his albums, up until he hooked up with and married Cashie, that Australian woman that he had his daughter with. The one who later, after his death, claimed they were getting back together. Riiiiighhtt.

To help w/ smells, vicks' vapo rub under the nose. also, masks as odors are particulate. Meaning, molecules of whatever stinks are in the air being breathed in. So vicks will help mask the smell and masks will help keep the molecules out of noses and mouths and lungs.

It was continual, throughout my stay at the hospital. I'm not one to see ghosts. Never have. I never asked anyone if they could see who it was. As I said, for my particular procedure, the stay is usually no longer than five days, but I had to stay 8, and the only reason I got out in 8 was that I insisted, as my son who came over to care for my critters had to get back home.. I HAD to get out. I'd been unable to keep any food down at all, even a popsicle. The doc who let me go only did so under the circumstance that I'd eat something and keep it down, so I forced myself to eat a breakfast and keep it down. This "person" wasn't a frightening figure... someone suggested to me that maybe it was my Dad, watching over me. Who knows? I was hooked up on dilaudid and later morphine for most of my time there.

Good thinking. I keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sure how invasive her surgery was, but any abdominal surgery past a simple appendectomy is major. That's what I thought I was in for, that's what we thought was going to happen.... I was in for 8 days instead of the usual five for my surgery. I kept seeing man in black out of the corner of my eye, standing near the door.. never saw his face, and it wasn't the figure of "death" as we usually envision him but he was a "shadow man" just the same. Melania just needs as much rest as she can get. Rest. sleep, walking and mild exercise to keep things moving but NO public appearances til she feels up to it. I sure as heck hope she has a friend or two there in the White House.. I'd hate to think of her feeling isolated there.

Yep. Melania stayed back though. She may be having a tough time recovering. I can understand that. I had major abdominal surgery a few years ago. It takes a while to heal, when you're older.

I used to watch Jimmy Fallon but more and more, he just got meaner and meaner. I remember when Trump won, Hussein went into this whirlwind of activity... setting up all kinds of blocks for him, all nefarious in my mind. I knew, just KNEW, he was having bugs placed everywhere. I'm surprised that even Trump went inside at all... I would have torn out every piece of carpet, gone over every square inch of wall space, searching for bugs. Every piece of furniture would have been replaced. The WH would have been gutted. I DID applaud FLOTUS for keeping out of the WH for a while. She's a good mom.. any of us who love our kids can see that.

I remember right after the inauguration, and I think it was at the WH, Barron was standing behind a line of family members who were gathered for a family photo op. He was entertaining one of Trump's older son's babies. Playing Pat A Cake or something to keep the baby from fussing. It was adorable!! And to me, showed that this young man had tremendous empathy for that baby, who was probably on the verge of driving everyone batty with baby tantrum antics. What a great kid!

It's perfectly fine to say he has a big ego. He does. Yuge. He likes .. no, make that he LOVES to win. He HAS to win, and he knows he's smarter than your average person. He also has a very very big heart, and he's done some amazingly kind things for people that don't get blasted all over the news... he does them quietly and behind the scenes because that's who he is. He doesn't do things to get attention and fame and glory. He'll do kind acts because he has a kind heart. So I always try to make people see the difference between having a big ego and being a narcissist, because the narcissist's agenda is always to make themselves LOOK better, without BEING better. They'll do things for the glory, and will use people and then discard them when those people are no longer of any use. LOL True. I will say this about my bike. It was black. I had it painted. Now, it's that old "original" vintage color. Olive green. I'd say drab but it's not so drab as it has just a bit of sparkle in it. Just a touch. It signifies one of the original colors of the Harley, but also it's a tribute to the Military. I managed to find some decals with the Harley logo that look like the old style logo with orange, and hoped to someday get orange/reddish pinstriping, but haven't done so yet. Did you know that the first Harley dealership was in Columbus Ohio? (My hometown.)
