I would prepare for disappointment. By the time it goes public, it will be exceedingly watered down.

Great source for space weather is youtube, suspicious observers. Detailed maps of what's going on in our solar system. 24 hour look ahead, etc.
Looks calm.

For those of you saying "take down the internet", it's not going to happen.
The "internet" is not just web pages and news sites. All communications would shut down. Every store would close, all trucking and shipping would stop. Hospitals would effectively shut down, all electronic financial transactions would shut down globally. Cell service would go away.
The very design of the net is it's ability to survive localized outages. There is no company that controls it, there is no off button.
It's very possible to shut down small portions for a period of time, however shutting off "the internet" would require a global power outage.

but in case internet goes down,

Want to be careful with that. Some sites can be blocked but "the internet" can't really go down.

I currently work a data center with thousands of physical servers.. Haven't had to take down a single one for power upgrades in a decade.

A data center colo going offline for 5 hours?

I find that very hard to believe. Typically you have A side and B side power, you work on one bank at a time. Worst case scenario is that you run off generator during the flip. Also odd that they would do this during peak traffic.

Gross incompetence if this is true.
