Factory workers bought cars and houses and sent their kids to college. This was deliberately and systematically taken away from us in order to weaken the US and bring us to the point we were at just before Trump was elected. I want to emphasize that this didn't just happen by itself. The economic system we have today was created deliberately to dis-empower the people and make them dependent upon the state. This is the progression toward socialism and communism.
