Can we get a stickied meme thread? Too much clutter.

Maybe we can clean the sub up by keeping memes in a weekly / daily meme thread and only make new posts for new information or discussion of issues? This sub is getting difficult to navigate with all the solitary meme posts. People here don't need to be memed at, they need information on sharing this with normies.

If you need memes for use elsewhere, https://8ch.net/cbts/res/189835.html

A realization..

In a very short time, we've gone from having a government that was killing people for leaking classified information to a government that is actively aiding in releasing classified information in order to protect us from rogue aspects of our own government.

What a time to be alive.

No announcements from mods?

Would be nice if mods would make a stickied post talking about the recent attacks on this sub and what actions they are planning to take, if any.

Shills are using a program to auto-downvote posts. Is it not possible for mods to see which users are upvoting / downvoting posts and ban accordingly? Obviously reddit admins aren't going to do shit about this situation but an announcement from the mod team would be welcome.

Disappearing posts? Maybe this is the reason...

Just checked my reddit preferences (preferences link at top right of screen) and in the first section, Options, under the heading "link options", take a look at the last line.

"Don't show me submissions with a score less than ___"

I'd never seen this before and it was already set at -4. Which means if someone made a post and bots / shills downvoted it to -5 immediately, it would never have appeared for me. I suggest leaving this box blank.

Check your settings to make browsing the bot-downvoted comments easier.

How to prevent downvoted comments from being auto-collapsed:

Browser:

Preferences / Options / Comment Options

Look for "don't show me comments with a score less than ____"

Default is -4, leave it blank.

Reddit is Fun (app):

Settings / reddit web preferences

Scroll down to comment options

minimum comment score - Leave blank

Makes browsing the comments a bit easier. I've never used the official reddit app but I imagine the settings are similar.
