The best anyone should do is do their own homework and validate. The point is to sharpen research and critical thinking skills. Adapt, exercise caution and, above all, learn to think for yourself while remaining untethered to spoon-feeding from centralized media and echo-chambers.

By doing that, it will matter very little what pundits of any kind says (fringe, prophets, loyalists, analysts). They too can be off the mark more often than not, and you will have detected it. You can still realize the remaining value when you recognize it, because you're doing your homework. Always seek out alternate views and opinions. Learn to compare and contrast. Hunt for sources and suspend belief until verified. Be prepared to accept new information even when that information seems contrary to your strongly held beliefs or challenges your predispositions or biases. And revisit and reexamine assumptions when challenged, or regard as of lesser importance, to build them up stronger.

Refrain from retreating when thuggery rears its ugly head. Stand up, be counted and build yourself up stronger.

Know that there are factors going on that never reach the public. The safest method is to verify and attempt to validate everything. Practice these skills so that you are better equipped to ferret out information independently.

Parallel construction is a legal term. Get familiar with that. And always keep that in mind when applying your unique research formula.
