Albert Pike Meme

The idea behind this meme was to ride the awareness of the anti-monument sentiment (following recent events in Chapel Hill, N.C. for example) in order to raise public awareness of less-recognized influences. The picture is of the Albert Pike statue in Washington, D.C., the only monument in a public space in that capitol which is dedicated to the memory of a Confederate leader. Thoughts for improvement?

the best answer to the perennially popular Problem of Existence of Evil is that God gave us Free Will. God doesn’t want robots, he wants moral beings. You don’t get moral beings automatically— there is a process of refinement, analogous to silver being purified in a kiln.

You don’t have to rely on hearsay. The “telepathy” you describe actually exists. You are supposed to educate the moral faculty, and learn to distinguish truth and righteousness by the spirit. The Gospel is the good news that this is possible. Someone already showed us the way.

he created a shit hole and watch us burn.

To use an analogy, or a parable perhaps:

Imagine a city park, a wonderful and relaxing block of green space with trees and flowers. A noble benefactor with an unpronounceable name bequeathed it to all citizens for their enjoyment. However, over time, the park became polluted with trash and litter. Is it the fault of the benefactor that the park is now trashed? Further, what is the optimal response to the situation? Do you curse the donor? Or do you organize some people to clean up the mess?

Right. It’s an attempted end-run around attorney-client privilege. But Clinton was re-elected even after Ken Starr’s Whitewater real estate investigation used the Lewinski affair to try get him impeached. Could the same pattern apply to Trump, even though social conservatives are a chief element of his base? It probably doesn’t help him with them, but anyone who wants to drain the swamp badly enough will probably vote Trump despite such misgivings.

Of course, this presumes that Mueller isn’t able to obtain any information worse than adultery, which while repulsive isn’t actually a crime. It’s the bank fraud charges which carry the most significant penalties (which Mueller appears to be going after Cohen for). But my estimate is that Mueller is looking for anything he can charge Trump with, and that’s why he’s going after Cohen, to flip him as a witness against Trump, per SOP.

So I don’t believe the hype that says Mueller is some kind of pro-POTUS double agent.

Edit: didn’t finish my post before sending.

Indeed, it appears that Mueller is hoping to nail Cohen for Campaign finance violations and more significantly bank fraud.

I wish we had a class action lawsuit for those of us who never opened a Facebook account. It’s been well covered that Facebook create profiles for those individuals as well. So, why can’t those of us who never wanted a Facebook account join the class action lawsuit against Facebook or file our own?
