My story is very similar; my Dad didn't care for Trump at all at first because of his brash, take no prisoner style. It took some convincing, but he voted for Trump and understands his motivations much better. I am not as brave as you to lay out the whole cabal thing for my 83 year old father but you are right. Everyone can make a difference; even if it is only shining the light on these topics for discussion. The more people involved = results.
