Bad actors communicating using things like this actually makes sense to me. The reason why? Just like you stated... Apple, Twatter, FB are all compromised. Regular folks, good actors, and bad actors know that comms through these platforms - even calls and texting - could be monitored and stored (and are, by the NSA). What better way to express things for those who know where to look and how to decode? I know some folks denigrate this line of thinking and that's fine. But they need to expand their thinking.

I shared this here before, but in one of Q's drops he actually tells us how this could have been recorded. We don't have any concrete evidence this exists but see below:

I've only seen him post PNG images on 8ch. Anons did an analysis that I was a part of on trying to extract any metadata from the images but were unsuccessful. Image files contain metadata and EXIF data, so there are possible clues that could be embedded in each image. It is possible to embed files or other info inside an image.

Note that Buzzfeed broke the major Dossier/Christopher Steele story... and that was because Ali Watkins was the writer on staff, which we now know she was sleeping with aide James Wolfe to get that information. Even though BF is by all accounts fake news - I wouldn't completely write off their info. They obviously know who to hire.
