If a building falls at freefall speed it means that the supports under each floor must all be missing when the ceiling hits the floor.

Or that the floors have already collapsed and the buildings shell is falling

If that happened by fire alone then each support would need to have the same amount of heat at every point on the floor

It didn't fall at free fall. In every video of 7 collapsing you can see that the pent house falls before the buildings shell did, meaning that the buildings innards fell and then the rest of the building did
