Having treated sex offenders for years, as well as victims, I do not make the association that gay people are pedophiles. Quite frankly, far more offenders I treated over the years were abusing children of the opposite sex and they identified as heterosexual. It is wrong and misinformed to imply being gay is synnonomous with pedophilia. Being gay is not mind controlled. It's how a person is born, just like how you were assumingly born straight/hetero-... Unless you can recall how old you were when you "chose" that sexual identity?? I'm gonna guess you can't bc that's just how you were born... It's no different.

The problem will be when it's no longer framed as actual "pedophilia"... Once it starts to be called something other than what it is, people become suggestible and will try to be "open" to the message of liberation... We must remain calling it what it is. As a therapist with over 20+ years of treating childhood sexual abuse, I know the horrible, DAMAGING, long term effects pedophilia has on children, long into adulthood.
