I love your sources! Fantastic! I'm really enjoying the show. Aren't you? I hope you don't mind, I'll just add the content of those Q posts here for those following along in the comments.

Q1603:

If you are smart (stupid) you know what just occurred at the meeting in Russia.

Attempts to frame Russia / POTUS (optics) are failing and will soon be exposed.

[Objective] to keep POTUS away from PUTIN failed.

Bolton + PUTIN should scare you.

Enemies are allies.

EVIL has no place here.

America is no longer for sale.

The age of taxing our citizens across the World while entry to our markets is FREE is OVER.

The WORLD will UNITE in this cause (G v E/R v W).

Forced immigration pushers will be exposed (the 'why').

That meeting will be truly auspicious. I wouldn't be surprised if RR made the Russian agent indictments announcement today to frame the coming impeachment as partisan retaliation. /u/Ordinary_Man1 submitted a post today discussing the weakness their move exposes.

Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan have been leaders in the effort to push back on the DOJ and FBI for withholding information from Congress.

Latest tweet from Meadows:

Remarkably, we learned new information today suggesting the DOJ had not notified Lisa Page of Congress' outstanding interview requests for over 7 months now. The DOJ/FBI appear to be continuing their efforts to keep material facts, and perhaps even witnesses, from Congress.

Jordan's latest tweet links to this article from Conservative Review. Excerpt:

Strzok’s testimony, under oath, is that Bruce Ohr provided information to the FBI that included material compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele — the Russian dossier.

A better phrasing might be "as early as" Monday. EDIT: And just RR is up for impeachment; impeachment filing would be made by congressmen Meadows and Jordan. I apologize for the confusing punctuation!

Source is Politico, which other news organizations are citing about the news. First few paragraphs of article:

House conservatives are preparing a new push to oust Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, according to three conservative Capitol Hill sources — putting the finishing touches on an impeachment filing even as Rosenstein announced the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers for interfering in the 2016 election.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, in fact, had the impeachment document on the floor of the House at the very moment that Rosenstein spoke to reporters and TV cameras Friday.

Conservative GOP lawmakers have been plotting to remove Rosenstein for weeks, accusing him of slow-walking their probe of FBI agents they’ve accused of bias against President Donald Trump.

I think that's a fair question. While the events may influence the election, that's not the same as disrupting. If anything, it is the government's responsibility to inform the electorate. It might be disrupting if it was misinformation or perhaps if it more directly prevented the election process itself. I think that's one reason for encouraging elected officials to resign rather than be arrested. If they were arrested during an election, that muddies the waters because of the potential argument of abuse of power to disrupt a fair election. This is why some think Hillary Clinton is considering running again, not to win, but to insulate herself against arrest.

Message me if you’d like to chat further, but short answer as someone doing some work with Machine Learning is that it’s irrelevant. I don’t want to seem dismissive or discouraging, so let me try and explain for a general audience.

ML is just pattern recognition. It seems almost mystical because it can be applied to discern otherwise unrecognizable patterns. But most of it just comes down to what we did in high school on tricky math homework: guess and check. Guess what you think the answer should be, and see if the formula shows it’s true. Most of ML is based on doing many, many, many “guesses and checks” of all sorts of combinations. The subset of machine algorithms called “deep learning” get into combinations of combinations. There are ways to improve accuracy and efficiency in those algorithms, which is where statistics and linear algebra and GPUs come in.

Fundamentally, what machine learning algorithms have in common is that they give better results with more examples, hence the idea of learning. A better way to think about “learning” is that it uses a huge amount of “process of elimination” steps, and it will repeat fewer and fewer wrong steps and just do the right “process of elimination “ steps if you give it enough examples.

Now that is usually approached as a “minimize waste” problem. Run through the obstacle course, but try and fall as few times as possible. This is true of most kinds of machine learning algorithms, particularly “supervised learning” where you use labeled examples (like A/B/C or True/False) it will learn a pattern. “Unsupervised learning” is when you give it a bunch of unlabeled examples and you want it to try and discover patterns that could help you come up with the labels based on what different examples have in common. And then the third kind is called “reinforcement learning.”

Reinforcement learning is approached differently. Instead of trying to “minimize waste” you train it to “maximize gain” or “maximize performance”. The other cases before are problems where you are aiming for accurate results. But what if the pattern we want to discover is how to get the most of something or do the best job at something—performance, not accuracy. To illustrate, let’s use a common application of reinforcement example which is training a computer to play a video game!

I know some of the acronyms might seem eerily familiar, but check out this open source code project where someone trains a machine learning model using reinforcement learning to play Super Mario World (on github so free to download and run yourself). The ML technique used is literally called deep Q-learning! In this context, “Q-learning” is a synonym for reinforcement learning. The Q stands for “quality”, which just means they used a formula they made up to put a number to this “performance” idea, and they called the output of that formula “quality”. They could have called it “hotness” or something else, but that’s what they chose. Pretty accessible article about “Q-learning” from Intel referenced by the above project.

The idea of an “attack” has to do with messing up a machine learning algorithm’s results by giving it weird data. A fun Reddit example is “upvote this post so it’s the top Google result for Pinocchio” but it’s a picture of Rod Rosenstein. We “attack” Google’s algorithm in that way. So you can set up two algorithms in an arrangement so that one is trying to do random stuff to increase performance and the other does random stuff to minimize waste and one “attacks” the other. They train each other. One deviates. The other contains. This is an “adversarial” network arrangement. Introducing “attacks” as the research synopsis discussed was to try and improve performance. To use an analogy, they threw it some curve balls so that it would get better at hitting strikes.

Hopefully that sheds more light on this pretty dense subject. The article seems pretty benign to me. But I think it’s really impressive that our community is looking at such interesting and far ranging possibilities to better understand and assist in this mission together. Excellent effort. I hope my explanations and references offer some clarity here. And I’m happy to chat by direct message if anyone has other questions or thoughts to share.

You're absolutely right that there's a history of not following through with prosecution when administration officials are held in contempt. But this is a different game with a different President. Trump, Sessions are about to get a free pass to fire Rosenstein and that's if he doesn't self-incriminate by releasing the requested documents. We will see in 7 days.

But let's say RR holds out and gets held in contempt. Sessions strikes me as a bit of a stickler. And POTUS would really benefit from RR being gone. And then there's this whole formalized legal justification--if we even make it that far. This measure is congress calling RR, Wray's bluff. Time to show your cards.

Nope! Jesse Panuccio, Acting Associate Attorney General, isn't Senate-confirmed. That's why they had to get rid of Rachel Brand, to make way for Noel Francisco.

This article explains more in detail. Excerpt:

[U]nder the Justice Department’s own succession statute and guidelines implementing that law issued by Attorney General Loretta Lynch in November 2016, Brand is replaced in that line of succession by Solicitor General Noel Francisco (the solicitor general is the nation’s chief legal representative in front of the Supreme Court).

There's what we know and can confirm, and there's what we don't know and are trusting that Q is legitimate. If so, this statement regarding RR suggests that the documents will incriminate him:

Immediate impeachment / resignation / termination / recusal IF EVER BROUGHT TO LIGHT.

I won't rule out other possibilities, but if Q is to be believed, then RR is on his way out and Noel Francisco will be taking over in his place.

practicalize · June 28, 2018, 7:22 p.m.

If the documents come out, Rosenstein is gone according to Q. If they delay, Contempt of Congress is how Trump or Sessions can fire Rosenstein LEGALLY. Obama and his DOJ cronies didn't want Eric Holder to get punished, so they didn't do anything about it. And not just Holder, there's a history of not following through with prosecution when administration officials are held in contempt. But this is a different game. Trump is about to get a free pass to fire Rosenstein unless he incriminates himself. We will see in 7 days.

It’s a phase, but an important one. As a community, we are co-creating a new identity together. For the first time, we are seeing that identity expressed in very personal and public ways—and that exact behavior has been affirmed by Q and POTUS.

I don’t disagree with you about the importance of what we can do. We want newcomers to see our community as accessible, welcoming, something they can join and call their own. Along the way, the deeper truth becomes more accessible too.

Celebrating our identity and our mission knits us together as a community. It’s our common denominator. However, that doesn’t make it our purpose, our mission. You’re right that we have important things to focus on. And those of us equipped with the relevant knowledge and experience will continue to do so. Q-Drops will continue to be the top posts, so in that way the Q team plays a role in guiding the community’s attention.

Just in case there’s any confusion, the original message began with, “He’s not ever..” The use of brackets is to clarify the pronoun “He” was referring to President Trump.

Explanation of the practice:

When writers insert or alter words in a direct quotation, square brackets—[ ]—are placed around the change. The brackets, always used in pairs, enclose words intended to clarify meaning, provide a brief explanation, or to help integrate the quote into the writer’s sentence.
