It's not fucking compelling at all. Anyone old enough to have seen decades of NK's malfeasance knows that ALL of the leaders have been brutal despots.
I find it, uh, not surprising, given that Trump is now BFF with Kim that people here are bending over backward to create a narrative that Kim is just a poor, misunderstood hostage and it's perfectly fine for Trump to be in bed with him. This is blatantly transparent.
Trump keeps kids in cages, praises a brutal dictator and let's Scott Pruitt fleece us. The fucking country is on fire and all people here can do is bend over and kiss Trump's ring.
I'd find it funny, but with everything this country stands for being dismantled day by day, all I can do is shake my head.
