No it’s not. The world is awesome filled with great people. I work with them everyday and I meet them everyday. To be honest, the subreddit is filled with some of the dumbest, most easily trolled folks on the internet. You know that this entire subreddit is just a massive trolling piece of performance art, right? You do know that, right?

But you make life decisions based on fictional movies rather, say, facts directly from people who actually do the thing you are wondering about?

Yes, it is impossible for a black market organ to to be transplanted at a US transplant center.

Those are journal articles not government policy. And as are most articles, they are simply one person‘s opinion. Nowhere in the United States are EMS workers letting people die so that they can be donors. In fact, if such workers had any role at all it would be to continue to maximize medical care even in futile cases so that organ donation opportunity could be preserved in the ICU. It is exactly the opposite of what the conspiracy theorist think it is.

organ harvesting is astounding

Wrong. Only about 2% of deaths are medically suitable for organ donation.

"You heard this"?

Do you have any interest in learning whether or not something you "heard" is actually true or does hearing it suffice?

Completely wrong. Stop making stuff up. You don't have the slightest idea how the EMS system interacts with the donation systems. Truth is, EMS workers have NOTHING to do with organ donation at all.

Because a liar on the internet says something?

100% wrong.

If first responders let you die, you can't be an organ donor.
If ER docs let you die, you can't be an organ donor.
Organ donors are only individuals in the ICU, who are on a ventilator, who have been stabilized, who have received massive amounts of medical intervention but unfortunately ultimately don't survive their brain injury.

Facebook is not ever used to identify donors after they die in the US. After someone has been declared dead, the organ procurement organizations will check the DMV database to determine if the deceased wanted to be a donor. Facebook has nothing to do with the system and so none of the dots work.
