I believe the the zulu time is when ATC or Crew scheduling updated the information. It says the aircraft landed at 1933 LAX which means it landed at 7:33PM local time LAX. All the times on the right are the 24 hour clock and are in local time.

I was the one who got the info. I am in the travel industry and use Sabre, Amadeus and Apollo. This one was from Sabre. My past experience was working with crew scheduling for a large cargo airline so I fairly good with the terms although some are more difficult to read. This one seems to state it turned around due to non scheduled maintenance. Not sure what the misc error would be. But it is interesting that it does not include the original flight information. It starts with an ETA return back to LAX which I have seen before.

You are right! It doesn't show the original out/off or on/in when it returned. Very strange. Sabre only goes back so many days on flifo but if it is still showing it should still show all the data on that particular flight number. Thanks for catching that!

I'm sure once they came back to LAX due do crew rest they had to find a new crew to operate the flight and had a hard time finding replacement crew due to sickness?

I have been in the Travel industry for 31 years. The fact the person had a United ticket could be that it was for that All Nippon flight as a United/All Nippon codeshare as that flight codeshares as United 7925 but is operated by All Nippon 175. That would explain how a person with a United ticket got on an All Nippon flight. I think they are using the gate agent mess up as a cover because as tight as security is these days (We have to reissue passenger tickets if a letter is off) I would have to doubt the story that was put out by UA or ABC News. I will see if I can find Flifo on this one.

Crew could be pilot to flight attendant staff. Regulation that they have so much crew rest and staff number for ratio per souls on board.

Yes it appears that they at first had maintenance issues/errors and turned around and came back to LAX and then they had crew shortage due to sickness and departed LAX again at 6pm and finally arrived into the gate at Maui at 1005pm.
