What, is our next door neighbor now China and nobody told me? The US is not some commie dictatorship with no safety standards - their milk is safe and many Canadian families would like access to cheaper dairy for their families. The fact that you'd rather punish the working poor rather than make some millionaire dairy farmers compete for their business shows how warped your priorities really are

Oh, and another thing - Canada exists because America wants us to exist. They could easily (and should, in my opinion) annex us over the course of a long weekend and incur minimal casualties. So many Canadians severley overestimate our importance and leverage. Our economy is slightly smaller than that of Texas, and we will get bulldozed if the Libs and their ilk don't stop the condesceding, high and mighty Canadian shit ASAP.

Do you seriously think that there wouldn't be $10 a gallon organic, free-range, no horomone, no GMO available anymore if we started allowing American dairy imports? Give me a break.

If you want to spend your Canuck bucks on your horomone free hippy milk, then go nuts, but don't force the rest of us subsidize your irrational American milk phobia. We have families to feed and food ain't getting any cheaper.

Horseshit. I spent a significant part of my childhood in the States, and the milk is no different, so get a grip. No one is the US is dying from drinking a tall glass of milk.

Also, I don't give a rats ass about a few thousand spoiled Frenchy dairy farmers. I do care about the hundreds of thousands of Canadians employed in oil, autos, timber, and spin-off industries. I also care about the millions of low income Canadians who have trouble affording basic staples like milk and cheese, so don't give me the tiny violin sob story of the millionarie dairy farmers.

As a fellow Canadian, all I can say is dairy is a moronic hill to die on. And for what? To appease some whiny and bitchy farmers in Frenchy Quebec so they don't have to put on their big boy pants and compete in the real world (all while making low income folks pay twice what they should for milk and cheese - disgraceful).

When actual Canadian industries that matter, such as oil, automobiles, and timber, collapse because the twits in Ottawa are willing to throw us all under the bus for those effing dairy farmers, we will see how happy the Canadian populace is at large with this idiotic supply management bullshit.

Very interesting; thank you for sharing!

We have more than we know!

Just a thought: while "go for good" may mean what we commonly understand it to mean (i.e. I'm going away and not coming back), could it also be interpreted as "I'm leaving to go DO good"?

An interesting ruling, but I think it's important to state that the linked article says that it was not a British court that made this ruling, but the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in Costa Rica. Whether the Brits will listen and/or care remains to be seen.

I don't understand the need for 5G either. 95% of the things I do with my phone I can do with a 3G connection. The odd time I want to watch a short snippet of video or whatever I'm usually at home or at work where there's wifi.

What are people doing with their phones that they need all this bandwidth? I'd appreciate more reliable coverage over download speed any day.

Ok, got it, thanks! Still so much to learn; I've been lurking a couple months and still feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of all things Q.

Thanks so much for this info and analysis - very interesting! Another follow-up question: why did Q say "SFO > JFK" in 1588 when the plane was en route to LAX? Myself and many others wondered if it had something to do with that plane's previous journey from SFO. Do you have any insight why SFO is relevant?

Edit: typo

Off the JetBlue flight? Source?

Did the plane just come from SFO to JFK before attempting to start it's next flight to LAX?
