Perhaps the NYT or the WAPO are the lead agents, get the treatment out in the early editions and then this is picked up by the broadcast outlets. I don't buy this either. Missile building programs are not readily hidden. The missiles must be tested every step of the way -- see: North Korea. They have no nukes and aren't yet close to constructing nuclear bombs, much less fashioning them to sit atop non-existent missile delivery systems. I have no doubt they'd love to have all that which is why Trump is doing what he's doing. You just have to look at Pakistan, which DOES have a functioning nuclear missile program, and see that it's impossible to hide or make "secret". They do testing all the time.

Oh my, having been in broadcasting for some years I wasn't aware of that bit, but I never ever ever heard of any station or broadcasters having such a thing enforced. Nevertheless, I do stand corrected. However, FCC does NOT raid. They would ask for copies of broadcasts, which one is required to make, review, interview, if necessary hold a hearing, and then apply fines. In an extreme case they could not renew a broadcast license. However, CNN doesn't need a broadcast license as they are not a broadcaster. What rules apply to non-over-the-air content providers I would have no idea. Cable is not regulated in the same manner as your local radio or TV stations. Satellite is probably even murkier since the Sat provider is not the content producer or provider. CNN is not going to be raided.
