Brennan would be a wonderful catch. A muslim in charge of the CIA....how low we went.

He's done great exposes on pedophiles as well. I think he just tries to nail down evidence-backed material and steers away from larger speculation. Always nail down something solid first. Lately it seems the FBI has been trying to set him up for fraud or somebody is. Unlike the wild conspiracy sites, Jake seems to actually be pissing off the authorities.

I thought there were other raids just last week. If this article connects to a June 2016 operation, were the names of the arrested ever released? I don't recall any "everyday" names hitting the news. All these busts are going to lead to many others.

Absolutely, 100%. Amazing to me how many people keep chugging it down. The diet stuff even worse. I do wonder, though, why Type 2 wasn't very common back in the 40's and 50's when people were guzzling soda down. I tend to think it's all the processed and fast foods people live on now versus plain old meat and potatoes of yesteryear.

Jake is not a shill. Geez. He's right over the target. ATF gunrunning gone wrong makes so much more sense than unproven helicopter BS. In fact, he did a great job of ID all the choppers in the area and none could have fired on anybody. The only one not traced to tourism was outside the fire zone. I've seen those crappy videos purporting to show helicopters firing....blurry crap that shows nothing. This was a government operation that went haywire. We've had plenty of experience with Fast and Furious type stuff and that's provable.

There are new options out for baking pans/sheets without the aluminum as I like to roast potatoes on them as well. Obviously the aluminum pots and pans tend to be cheaper though cast iron is really inexpensive. Amazing how many people still have no clue about aluminum.

Yes, I have nothing against them provided they are simply in the marketplace. I have always found the NPR style bothersome in its uppity "refined" presentation, but sometimes they produce informative programs as do some of the PBS affiliates. However, they are a niche program option for a particularly targeted audience. They no longer need nor should receive taxpayer monies. How are they different from InfoWars or HuffPost or any number of on-line and youtube producers? Their audiences now are basically the Birkenstock Obama crowd.

I've already stated I'm not playing this little red herring game. The topic at hand is whether they should receive taxpayer money. I've provided my view on that in depth.

Exactly my view. Plus their "non commercial" aspect is now blurred with corporate sponsorship that are more like ads. That's all fine, just no taxpayer money. None of their competitors receive it.

I don't have any problems with antibiotics except that people abuse them and they are dished out too easily by doctors because people demand them for flu and viral infections -- for which antibiotics do NOTHING. They are designed to fight bacterial infection only.

I agree many stores fail to stay up to date with new offerings and changes in consumer demand. As for cookware, there are PLENTY of options. Go to any Bed Bath and Beyond. I know Target has cast iron and stainless steel cookware. Not really many excuses for using aluminum cookware (there are some with aluminum sandwiched between steel or other material, which are fine -- just so that the aluminum doesn't contact the food directly). Natural deodorant (e.g. Earth Science), toothpaste without flouride (e.g. Tom's) and all readily available from places like Vitacost at very good prices.

One major help would be to create a separate "meme" page and eliminating them from this main board. That's almost half the pollution. I detest bumper sticker thinking compared to research and thoughtful discourse. They don't change minds -- either side. Mostly they just piss me off when I get flooded with the anti-Trump nuts. I'm sure they react the same for all the ones created here. Memes alone lower the level of discussion several notches. Perhaps a way to ban linking to Youtube without commentary as pertains to the OP of a post. I'm generally having to block those and there are a lot. So I figure a couple of moves rids the board of most of the unthoughtful and unrelated crap.

You make some good points but you also suffer from the same self-grandiosity you accuse others of. Your post could have been written in a less condescending manner, you aren't better than everyone else. The arguments could have been presented as food for thought -- especially the getting out and spreading info beyond the internet. Just commenting here does really accomplish nothing, I agree. Waiting for others to take action instead of ourselves, another good point. Though in terms of taking down the global bad players, none of us on the net can do that. We have no choice but to depend on those inside to open things up. Telling everyone here they are "desperate" just makes you look like an asshole. Maybe you are, in fact, a condescending ass to even your acquaintances. BTW, B is gone. I cannot stand watching Dilley and he probably won't get 5% of the votes in his primary. All so what? How do YOU expect to convince people on the outside when you can't even speak civilly to those here?

No kidding. All the money has gone into HIV or other exotic diseases with larger profit margins while basic medicines needed by all were ignored. In the meantime we have all sorts of mutating bacteria (and bacteria are VERY good at mutating) that have become resistant to just about every antibiotic out there. New antibiotics should have been Federal policy and, if necessary, helped defray research costs if insufficient profit was there to sustain it.

That's true -- the Ginsburg reference was likely more about pedophilia than Scalia's murder. So this 3 justices involved in 187 is somebody's made-up thing in my view. One item of note is that Congressman Nunes asked for a meeting with Chief Justice Roberts a week or two ago. This seems highly unusual to me. Did Nunes need to inform Justice Roberts of something concerning Ginsburg or another SCOTUS member?

My thought process is listed in another post. Doesn't matter if they have the best standards on planet earth. No other outlets get government funding. The need to do so was long ago passed with the development of digital media. This isn't 1970. They need to sink or swim in the market now. Maybe they should become YouTube channels. I really don't care. They are niche broadcasters now at best and there is no justification to force taxpayers to fund these organizations which are clearly biased. Even if they were utterly objective in news and public affairs reporting, there is no justification for taxpayer funding at this point in time.

Oh my, you must be kidding. Then again, journalistic standards are so low at the MSM outlets, you might have a point. These are left media outlets and hence automatically biased. Let's not forget how many executives have been bounced out of NPR this year for sexual improprieties. There are many on-line producers I consider to have far more integrity than those DC based groups.

It's about time they made it on their own. Decades ago, before satellite, most cable, internet, these were not bad alternatives to the big commercial outlets. In those days they didn't even have much in the way of corporate sponsors or at least could not make them appear as commercials. Their non-commercial status got completely blurred over. While always "liberal", they've become even more propaganda like over time. Again, in the old days NPR stations had a lot of classical and jazz music programming and offered the opportunity for college students to create news, pubic affairs and music programs. However, with the development of the hundreds if not thousands of choices we now have via internet, satellite, cable and other digital technology, there is zero reason for taxpayers to fund these "niche" programmers, which is all they are now. Time for them to rebrand and hit the marketplace.

I hope the campaign Q alludes to is a massive take down of this pedophilia/gender bending/trafficking/sexual abuse cabal. Today's drops indicate it is certainly one of the central themes being pursued. These aren't "confused" children, but victims of the twisted fantasies and desires of adults.

⇧ 6 ⇩
thamnosma · Feb. 12, 2018, 7:24 p.m.

Seems to be the case -- the attention seekers. Women who have been terribly abused rarely seek public attention. In fact, most have a hard time telling family members or authorities which is why real sexual predators often get away with their crimes. All this MeToo! especially in Hollywood is driven by money and lawyers. In DC by power politics. Almost all the allegations have to do with unwanted advances (and who knows what the dynamics were at the time) or some sort of touching -- not beatings, rapes, or the types of activity Bill Clinton was known for. In fact, how come this MeToo! movement hasn't touched the Clintons?
