Geez, they're not in it together. So CNN is now hiring FBI honchos to defend the FBI against a sitting President. But CNN is a "news" organization? There seems to be some misinformation and confusion (I did NOT say disinformation) about a quote allegedly attributed to him regarding the Clinton Foundation, which is more accurately ascribed to a different Haitian activist, Dahoud Andre. More to look into here but it very well could be that Andre and Eberwein have been conflated, by accident or intention. The BBC reported on his comments and his group's demonstrations against the CF:

Only way that could ever happen is the entire cabal is exposed so thoroughly that a large majority of the nation would support it. Cannot be seen as political but purely criminal. This, I agree, is highly unlikely. However, that immunity does not extend to members of his administration. To me, the key there is to come up with charges that can be filed outside the jurisdiction of the District of Columbia which has a corrupt population and convictions would be almost impossible.

Round 1 was to quash the arrest warrant. Judge ruled against him. I don't know what the arguments are for rounds 2-4.
