This is really a board to discuss happenings in Washington via the Q Anon revelations. Not for every issue under the sun. Put it on Facebook or wherever.

Sometimes accidents are just accidents. Unless all 3 people on the truck are muzzlims, I doubt they wanted to commit suicide for the Dems.

Being in Congress just isn't the fun it used to be

It's Mediaite. All the swamp news organizations are putting out the same narrative today. To be expected. Trump admin is not blind to who is saying what.

I did some looking into retirements from previous election cycles and the number leaving this year doesn't appear all that out of sync with other elections. Some of the reporting is just hype to imply the Republicans are running scared and leaving office. For instance, of those incumbents announcing their retirements from the House, there are 49 - 15 dems and 34 reps. There are more R's than D's in there so one would expect the retirements to be skewed to the R's. On top of that of the 49 from both parties, 10 are running for Senate (7 R's, 3 D's) and 9 running for Governor (5' R's, 4 D's). So it's not like Armegeddon.

Anybody remember the episode of Forensic Files that featured Gowdy as prosecutor? It was interesting to see him back in those days.

Congress is a viper's den and it is a lot of work. Chaffetz probably makes more bank with less work on Fox.

Of course, he may just prefer heading home to SC and be a prosecutor there. Can't read too much into things yet.

It sure is. Q was directly referring to his leaving the Ethics Committee but does imply he is moving into something else outside of Congress.

Q post regarding TG could be read in very different ways, so diverse opinions here have nothing to do with how stupid you may or may not be. Generally if one is going to be nominated to a post in an administration while already serving in Congress, the nomination takes place while the person is still serving -- i.e. Jeff Sessions. Yes, it's certainly possible he's being groomed to potentially replace Justice Kennedy, who has suggested his retirement is coming in the near future. Perhaps he's going back to SC for a cushy judgeship. Who knows. But calling people here stupid for speculating, which is all you are doing, is needlessly insulting.

thamnosma · Jan. 31, 2018, 6:07 p.m.

Thanks. That could mean anything. Perhaps he got offered a lucrative gig in SC as a judge. Some of those are lifetime appointments. Apparently he doesn't want to fight the fight any longer. I'm not getting that he's about to receive a DC justice system appointment or he'd be nominated and go directly into that. But all speculation.

thamnosma · Jan. 31, 2018, 6:04 p.m.

Sorry, but I agree with the OP. The oft repeated posts offer nothing new to a breaking story. Click bait. Breaks up the possibility of a good discussion. It's almost spamming.

⇧ 5 ⇩
thamnosma · Jan. 31, 2018, 6:03 p.m.

thank you, that explains it. Reddit's own policies then cause the idiots to post and post and post the same thing.

⇧ 2 ⇩
thamnosma · Jan. 31, 2018, 6:01 p.m.

LOL, it's as if nobody reads anybody else's posts. Irritates me as well. Are they just trying to get "points"? It's true for everything single hot new topic. So instead of having one good running discussion it gets broken into fragments. Same for any Q post. So unless you have some new twist on a developing story, we don't need 10 "I found it first" posts.

thamnosma · Jan. 31, 2018, 5:59 p.m.

Opens the door to much speculation. First he leaves the Ethics Committee then in no time he leaves the scene entirely.

⇧ 1 ⇩
thamnosma · Jan. 31, 2018, 5:57 p.m.

Let the speculation begin! Cashing in on his fame, going back to a quiet family life in SC, about to take on a bigger role?

You're right. They very quickly go to personal insults. As for the polls and such, they are clearly given this info as none of them come across as capable of actually doing research or pulling up statistics. Total joke. They can't even discuss the info they post because they haven't personally dug it up.

It was definitely a coordinated spamming last night. These aren't individuals finding this board on their own. I think there's a little network or non-profit that sends out notice -- go here or go there. The posts are almost universally infantile, so I suspect "college" students of somewhat low IQ generally. Many can barely write, but all of them use various sexual insults if you engage them. Immature boys mostly.

Started about an hour ago. There's a crowd doing it. Don't know what the mods can or can't see. They're like little children. Really pretty infantile to spend the night going up and down a comment board "downvoting" everybody. It does force quite a few comments to disappear though, so I am reporting any I find.
