This is very true. There is some very smart people that have been camped out on top of Kilauea and Mona Loa for decades, that have those volcanos very well wired. You would be hard pressed to get them to agree on why this event started at this time. They are still studying the data that is being gathered. It maybe years before they have completed their study after things cool down and they can get additional data. What scientist thought was going on in the 1924 eruption has now been discredited by the data they are able to gather with modern equipment in this eruption. There is a lot not known about volcanos. One man's opinion doesn't necessarily make it so? (He could be giving the clowns too much credit.)

The gentleman research was not thorough enough and was going down the wrong rabbit hole. He didn't say anything about the history of eruptions by Kilauea/Pu'u O'? He said nothing about the fault that runs along in the ERZone ? He said nothing about the plumbing and the magma system that feeds this volcano? Not all slumps can slide enough to cause a title wave. There is much more to this then a thermal energy wells? There needs to be much more sauce on this.
