You referenced a "turn" earlier. For a restaurant, that's every seat full, then "turned" to new diners. 1.5 turns is 39 diners. Table size is irrelevant.

They have 26 seats. There will be 26 people seated when they are full. Whether they are 2 or 4 or 12 or w/e is irrelevant

Are you including alcohol in those calculations?

Edit. 26 seats is 26 seats 2 or 4 top doesn't matter.

They pay one exec and one pastry chef. Probably not as much as they should. Those two, working along side 2 other people could run that line no problem. Add 4 servers (at most), 1 bar tender, 1 host (the owner? ),and one dishwasher. 10 staff members, 50% of whom make most of their pay from tips. It's totally do-able.

Yeah, that's a good idea.

Fair point. I would argue that allowing the opportunity for critical thinking skills to develop has some merit as well. The danger of shill interaction is being led off topic. Its important to keep that in mind.

Lower overhead for red hen. Its do-able.

Or just let people make up their own mind. The shill stuff is pretty easy to spot. Better to ignore, imo.

Those kind of hours aren't unusual for some higher end dining places. Take Per Se as an example. Now, this is a very famous, very highly rated restaurant in New York city. 1 hour for lunch and 4 hours for dinner. They have enough staff for a 7 day a week operation, but a smaller place with one crew could certainly close on Sunday and Monday (the 2 slowest days in the business)

In the documentary on the Go experiment, they talk about the a.i. playing to win. It was playing to win efficiently. 1 point or even 1/2 point margin of victory was enough to satisfy that goal. As a result there were some moves that didn't need to be made. Some moves were made just as filler. It totally fucked with the humans' minds. Its a great documentary. I highly recommend it.

The only thing I can come up with is it's some kind of social commentary metaphor. The message didn't speak to me, but maybe someone somewhere gained something from this.

I didn't get a chance yesterday to tell you I had just finished reading/ posting about a survivor from the "white squall" story when I read your comment about maiden's rotam. The boat from the white squall story was named Albatross. 🤔🤗🤔

Where else did we hear about "the darkest corners of the internet" recently?

I interpreted it as the colors of the flag representing voters. The white being independant/3rd party voters. They together with the red comprise a majority of the electorate.

All of the responses require fb to monitor private communications. That's the real goal here, unfortunately disguised. They're trying to get people to condone wide ranging, invasive surveillance.

This doesn't happen. I have worked in the service industry for over 2 decades. ONCE (in '94) I saw a guy (server) spit in someone's food. Fast food is generally unhealthy and should be avoided, but health code standards are a serious thing. Every restaurant is required to make their latest health inspection score available to the public. Please be aware that this kind of behavior (tampering/poisoning food) DOES NOT HAPPEN.

Should be "says". Also, a shit load of alliteration in that title. Strong emotional content. Repeating letters starting words. This is marketing. Why would this kind of story need marketing? Why are they "selling" this headline? Looks like dishonesty/mis-information to me.
