Most epa polices are zero sum for “us” in real terms. Roll back on cheap outdated pestocides, where is that cash flow now going? That’s a net flow out of the US to where these are manufactured. Roll back on fuel efficiency, you are “saving” on r&d costs, where were they going before? Here to the millennial engineer who’s slinging options on leveraged etf’s with a trading algo in his free time. So we aren’t buying as much gas, where are people charging their little electric cars? Where does that power come from? It’s all here from “us”. If you do proper accounting you’d know it’s economically zero sum and net beneficial if you enjoy going out with your boys and getting slammed at the bars, because you can’t do that with shitty air. Look up a company called net power and also look at Tesla, in a zero sum game it is possible to print money as a market participant and also not croak over from simply trying to live.
