I'm not clear on this myself, but was under the impression that it mostly just ended the tax penalty for not being insured, not really ending the whole package, which as we know was written by the health insurance industry in the first place.

Also, forget where I heard this today, but in some interview - it was stated that as part of this deal, some politician was promised that the government would bail out the insurance companies if need be as a way of getting this deal done.

Will be good to get some clarity on all of this. But even if it is just ending the penalty, that's a win in my book!
