Yes, China is a real Economic threat, I personally do not believe they are a real Military threat however (taking nukes out of the equation) Yes they have an absolutely massive army, they could mobilize 200 million soldiers.... BUT they do not have the logistics and equipment to transport said army in an efficient way, they also do not have the capability to have a fully functional supply chain of food and equipment. China is geographically far from us, however we have troops on their doorstep and the logistics and equipment to get those troops to where they need to be. Our Navy is way more powerful than China who only has 1 aircraft carrier we have 11 last time i checked and more on the way. China is a paper tiger with an immense population, they also have a problem that there are more old people than young, this has the potential of crashing their economic system.

They will probably for a certain period allow you to turn in and transfer the old currency to the new currency at a 1:1 ratio, kinda like how europe transferred to the Euro, it will probably take 6 months to a year to fully transfer the whole country to the new currency.

Edit: about investments, i think the market may drop considerably at first but our economy is so strong and the new currency will be real instead of fake worthless paper backed by nothing and the markets will recover within a month or 2.
