AFAIK they're adding a route for her. So she's a 4th option alongside Catherine, Katherine and Neutral.
IIRC you can romance characters you couldn't before including the dead ones, like Shinji But overall it's mostly the same. Catherine which focuses exclusively on the relationship with the girls/the routes should have a bigger change.
