Well you can always play the DSvanias on the 3DS. Personally I'd also like Vita CVHD.
Dark Souls is the better take on Metroidvania in 3D, at least the first one. 2 and 3 piss on its solid world design.

I believe the randomizer for that has options to do the first two, and playing randomized Dawn is pretty hilarious depending what you enable. No portrait fixing though.
Yeah but this has been borne out through actual testing by the TASers. At least in Aria of Sorrow. Apparently Dawn is the same. They definitely fixed it in PoR because there's the item that tells you your actual odds.
