I pretty much agree with this, except I would put Aria of Sorrow above SotN as far as the metroid/Igavanians go. But Dracula X is by far may favorite classicvania, I have no idea where that strange pc port came from that I got from the share thread but goddamn am I glad I was able to play it.

Aria is my favorite metroidvania, it's not really all that difficult but it is noticeably more difficult than SotN which puts it above that game for me. OoE is MUCH better than both of them in the difficulty department since it actually offers a decent challenge, but I don't like the weapon system that much nor am I a fan of the abilities you get to advance(like swinging across different nodes to get around obstacles, for example). I like my metroidvanias to be a bit more straight-forward and less gimmicky I suppose. Also Heart of Fire is good but Castle Corridor is by far my favorite.
