That's not true, the english traded with the natives a lot and generally tried to live separately from them. Natives were used as guides and trappers. There were tensions between colonies and natives in some cases and there was combat but you're pretty wrong thinking that they just killed them and took their resources
They really don't understand how distribution and production works do they? Yeah way more food is produced. But most of that food couldn't make it to the starving people because it isn't economical in the slightest to ship it to them. What are we going to do? Produce milk and eggs in Canada and ship that to africa in a refrigerated airplane? Yeah sure that's the best way to do things. Totally just give it to them. That's just makes so much sense

In pretty much all cases the diseases reached the natives before they had contact with white people. I'm relatively sure that it was the same in south america. The Spaniards came and found entire cities dead from disease
