Even then, that assertion might not be wholly inaccurate.
Well, Newton was a vocal critic of the Church at the time, so him being portrayed as a douche is understandable.
As for Einstein, his dickery were mostly media propaganda hyping up his rivalry with Tesla (they actually had an amicable relationship, just that it wasn't publicized by the press in favor of their constantly heated public arguments instead).
Are the creators aware that the Netflix adaption of their franchise is about to be subverted?
