The flash game had some pretty cool stuff in it, I remember my 9 year old brain figuring out the burnt forest maze and leaving the marks before I went on the paths and feeling like a smarty. There were so many neat little things hidden in that game.
Hollywood is killing itself just fine on stagnation, sexual assault lawsuits, unfunny comedy movies, making soulless reboots because they don't understand what made the original so good and hamfisted and preachy political strawmen. People will always love Kojimbo though, because you have to have a pretty high IQ to understand Metal Gear Solid. Kojimbos's writing are extremely mind numbingly wordy, and without a solid grasp of things like memetics and genetics most things will go over the players head. :^)
