Two days for Christmas eve/day plus one to two days for New Years eve/day consisting of 3-5 10 rolls sounds better to me.

Negative. I used the wrong word, the idea is more that the company isn't giving out 40+ free 10 rolls over the holiday but people are still getting things to hopefully feel happy about.
The idea is to make the event shorter but give more rolls per day with less variance so people aren't feeling more and more shafted as the event goes on from only getting one 10 roll instead of eight or nine 10 rolls.
Instead the "bonus" is limited to 1-2 extra rolls based on luck.
