You say that, but I swear every super high level driver has crazy high accuracy, especially the lancers.

And that doesn't even factor in any of the superbosses, which have moves that I swear are completely unavoidable, even with max dodging stuff on Morag

Considering that Corrine says that it wasn't uncommon for drivers to marry their blades in the past, I would guess its possible.

Not sure if the Jin/ Lora relationship was supposed to be platonic or romantic, considering that Lora awakened him when she was a child

When I hear "slow" I think of the combat being slow, which I don't think it is really, at least past chapter 1. Like I would say a "slow" game that is good would be something like the earlier monster hunter games, and even some parts of the latter ones too.

If you are talking about story and how there are a billion fucking things to do to get the story to really progress, then yeah its pretty slow. I will say that I typically try to avoid fast travel in most games, but based on the amount of "walk over to this area halfway across the map and then back again", I gave up on that around hour 20.

Shit maybe the game is slow

I'm pretty sure that Lora the child is the same as Lora the adult. According to Lora's dad/ stepdad/ whatever the fuck, he stole Jin's core crystal from a castle on a heist he apparently had been planning for weeks. This kind of gives the impression that Jin was the blade of some royalty/ heroes in a "previous life" rather than him coincidentally being woken up twice in a row by girls named Lora. Jin finding the diary of his past life probably further indicates he was a blade of "noble blood", seeing as though I doubt he would have written a diary if he didn't believe that it would be available to him in his next life (much like how Brigid keeps a diary that gets passed down the royal family of Mor Ardain).

You are probably right about blades and babies though.

Honestly the biggest problem narrative-wise in the game is the amount of "beat the boss, but they kick you ass in a cutscene". Off the top of my head the bosses in which this happens are Malos, Morag, Akhos, Jin twice, and Amalthus. I don't mind the "you actually lost in the cutscene" like once per game, but this game is fucking ridiculous with them.

How far are you in the game? I remember thinking the game was pretty easy until like chapter 8/9. But then again, that is about the point where the boss levels started being like 4/5 levels above me, so maybe that is it.

I thought it sold pretty well? Better releases than XC and XCX at least.

shit man you are overleveled. Did you just do nothing but run side quests the entire time? You won't be hitting level 55 enemies until like later Chapter 7/8.

There is a point in chapter 7 where I didn't fight basically any enemies for almost the entire chapter based on paranoia on a certain area that is introduced. That might level out the difficulty a bit.

Regarding Pyra, she is actually in far worse shape than you think, which gradually gets revealed until the end of chapter 7

Not that I know of. Pretty much all the notable 50-60 uniques don't show up until areas introduced in chapter 6/7.

Its possible, but narrative-wise, I don't see it making much sense. Why have a scene with a girl named Lora who doesn't have anything to do with Jin's motivations if the only reason that the scene exists is to provide a setting in which he finds a diary? If the scene was merely meant to demonstrate that people are really shitty, then why have the girl named Lora? Why not just have the girl named something else and then immediately link it to the diary? Why muddy the waters by naming two completely different characters, one of which is the entire reason Jin does what he does or even exists, the same name? Its not like a "well Lora 1 reminds Jin of Lora 2", since he wouldn't have any memory of Lora 1, and he discovers the diary after he has already be Lora 2's blade for some time. Him being Lora's blade since she was a child also makes more sense, as it makes more narrative sense for him to be broken-hearted about the girl he has looked after since she was a child, and it makes more sense for her to be completely terrified of dying, if only because it would mean that Jin would forget her.

I kind of expected her to be hiding something, but it being "I want to fucking die" genuinely took me by surprise. The beginning of chapter 7 with Rex all depressed made it so much worse when he confessed that he wasn't good enough for her, and that she would be better off without him. It feltโ€ฆ way more real than I expected.

I honestly think its just triggered by entering Gormott at a certain time. Elektra's quest was the very first blade quest I did (she was the second blade I got), and I got it sort of by accident.

I should actually restate that Elektra was the very first blade quest I startedโ€ฆ didn't have enough electric blades to finish it for like 30 hours.

All I know is that its isn't tied to the brothersisterpon quest, as I am at hour 200 and still have yet to finish it
