These interviews are both reassuring and worrying. There are "we don't care about fanservice, it's fun, and we hate censorship" shit, but there's also "sometimes we don't like a game's content so we don't touch it" which… could mean a lot. I'd like to believe they're merely going the "if we like it, we do it properly and that's it" way.

Definitely got mad a few times, thankfully rarely. I tend to be furious at people who play games I know entirely who are really not too good at them. Once was livid and raging at my otouto for not finding very obvious solutions for puzzles in Majora's Mask, even though he was like only 12 or 13. Poor kid.

Of fucking course… I managed to finish a dark room earlier so I expected this one to be kind of the same : trial and error and a lot of patience. It wasn't so and I got demolished. I never gave much of a shit about the fact some players are trannies. There's barely any woman at all, it's pretty much the only way to get "girls" to speedrun anything. I enjoy speedruns, they're lots of fun, and some of the drama can be lots of fun too.
I don't mind transsexuals, I'm just a bit weirded out when they expect to be automatically treated as the sex they identify as without "looking" like that sex. It's not other people's fault if they can't tell.

I'm still weirded out at the fact so few women try to be part of those things. I mean it'd be a GREAT occasion to get easy attention, and it's not even much harder than getting into egaming, which a lot of ladies are starting. You just need passion and dedication, and ugly people have a lot of those, male or female.
So overall, you have maybe two or three female speedrunners on earth, and even they don't seem to be all that much into it. I find it sad even, as it honestly could be a good way to actually present "equality in gaming"…
Never played any; from what I gathered, Second Son is surprisingly not bad at all, and First light is bearable as DLC.

That's not how I meant it, sorry. Speedrunning doesn't "require" competition, it only needs passion and dedication. Being ready to spend days and days and days doing nothing but play something over and over and over. I mentioned ugly people because that's the kinda person who'd be willing to go through this amount of sacrifice for themselves since they can't just open their legs and get whatever they want. There's a lot of ugly women out there, so there's no reason why they wouldn't wanna dedicate themselves to a game they love.
But maybe you're right and it's the competitive element that's pushing women away I suppose. I dunno.
