I just hope such a backwards exclusion isn't the case.

Without those letters, true–that said, you're relying on an anagram-like formation to advance a frankly loathsome point.
In other words, you're trying too hard.
Anyone have Sarasabot cracked?
At a rate of about one Champion Merit every two weeks (seemingly), I'm ready to try such a method to break out of step two of the Revenant Weapon process.
No one ever has a better solution for me than Proto Bahamut and Twin Elements, after all–and they either fill up too fast (former), die too quickly (latter), or simply drop nothing but what I don't need (both). If there is a non-bot solution that works for farming them in a reasonable period of time, I'm all ears.
> If there's any t1 raid you can at least MVP solo (as past 50% HP)
Highly unlikely. I'll have to try the sidestories and more of Proto Bahamut, then. At least doing something other than mere attempts at the latter will perhaps give me hope and keep my morale from tanking further.
At least if the rewards are readily tangible once the work's put in.
I haven't. The only sidestory I've done so far was Defender's Oath, I think, to get Siegfried's full armor.
I've been doing that. It's contending with everyone else that wants to get in (and, of course, getting something other than Omega Fragments, rusted weapons, and the occasional Rainbow Prism) that poses the main problem.
I'm limited by the speed at which the interface allows me to see the battle–under any circumstances.
And it seems intent on having me view the word "READY" for just long enough to keep me from getting in–sometimes, just long enough to keep me from getting any honor. All this is even without a video running in the background (this game's grind isn't very entertaining, as you know).
As for a train, I can't start a P. Bahamut raid myself yet. I wouldn't be able to contribute aside from fighting (for as long as my team would avoid incapacitation).
No one. It was a conclusion I came to on my own, based on available information. I've only heard that P. Bahamut (wiki as source) and Twin Elements (best friend who got me into this game) are the most reliable sources of that item. Ignoring Twin Elements for a moment, there was surely once a time during which Proto Bahamut represented some of the hardest (if not the hardest) content in the game. It would stand to reason if Champion Merits dropped more frequently at that time from a successful run.
