Spent 500 Pendants to see what it does, pretty good stats, but a bit boring.
Seems like using a 2nd ring on the same character allows you to pick which set you want.
I would suggest getting a friend/crew member to solo your hosted Chev/Celeste raids for you. If your the only 2 people in the raid, you have the 2nd place chance of getting a red chest with 0 honors.
