Did you use the ie11 switch? It installs the newer Internet Explorer 11 updates, which isn't just a shitty browser you won't use because it also improves the system webpage handling or some shit like that.
IIRC you drag the simplix .exe to the command line, follow it with /ie11 and hit enter.
