Yo, Poll Anon, you should go check out anon.cafe and julay.world, they're making guides to how to host your own IBs, right now /liberty/-/monarchy/-/fascist/ and /ita/-/ara/ (and another one I forgot about) have already created their own bunkers, you should check it out and make one for /v/. Also OPENNic anon has made a reliable guide for how to set it up so you don't get situations like the .moe sites being deleted.

I seriously hope you came down to julay/anon.cafe/the miniature IBs being built by their boards and come discuss with us where to go next. This /v/ barely talks about videogames anymore.Fatchan was a dream come true and it got taken down by the same people who will likely flip a tit if they saw a drawing they didn't like. We're building a system that is not bound to these problems, but it requires 1) anons to use it 2) intelligent developers to get it running and 3) boards of an heterogeneous culture to NOT blanda up on the same website (so that one board's love for little girls or their own race does not take down thousands of posts related to gaming and development).

Generals are necessary for HOSTING games and talking about game genres or series so vast that you'd end up crowding /v/ proper. That /v/ has its own share of legacy threads (drawthreads, virtual tournaments like 8chanmania, playthrus, LOL threads where actual cringey comics are posted instead of porn dumps) is undeniable, but it's not videogames.

At any rate, you are not completely wrong. There is a fine line between being a rulecuck and having total anarchy. /v/ should be mainly about videogames at all times, barring some exceptions (some legacy threads and permitted offtopic). It shouldn't be hard to follow, but for some reason people really can't. In the end, whoever owns it is going to pick and choose arbitrarily and there's nothing you can do about it. The fatchan mod though was super chill compared to Mark.

Talking CSS… I didn't like it either, but they were working on it when the site went down. Search box and (You)s were sorely needed.

Let me give you an update on this:

We have already three new bunkers established, but to join them you currently need to switch DNS for technical reasons. I'm planning on making a new one, but it will likely just host a few niche boards and be clearnet (exactly because of the nature of said boards).

Just go to antares.oss, change dns and join a specific port number (check it out on julay/8moe). It's where /v/ will coalesce to when the owner fixes a few things here and there. He seems pretty chill and allows for all the things the other sites don't (plus it's not owned by Mark or Josh one of their buddies).
