The massive over sensitivity to keeping literally everything from the public eye is the root cause of all this.
It's possible to be semi-transparent w/o withholding every shred of truth from the public. Especially when they have accrued so much power. If someone decides to use the info against them, they will be aware of it well before the situation gets out of control. As long as everything is done with good intentions, there is not very much to hide. Definitely not 80% worth!!
