Chyna can and will cheat in any way possible. It is in their nature, they just consider it to be the expected way to take advantage and win. They consider us stupid morons for NOT taking similar advantage. We are forever weak losers in their eyes because we let opportunities slip by, while foolishly adhering to a moral code.
Not making this up, i'm a BusinessAnon who had an office staff in China and dealt frequently with factories and other business types.
Manufactured products imported to the US must conform to tightly controlled standards, which is why you will see marks like UL or CSA on the data stickers. For PPE equipment that standard is called NIOSH. Products must pass these standards by independent laboratories, which are rated and licensed to test various standards. Not surprisingly, you can always get a 'pass' from a Chinese lab in some way or other. You can take a 'passed' product made in China, and test it in a lab in the US and get a fail.
So Anon chuckles sadly at the stories about PPE equipment exported from China that is defective. Not surprising AT ALL. There is a reason why Chinese people prefer goods from Japan, Korea, the US, and elsewhere.
