An anon from across the pond has a long held question. I never knew anyone to ask. What were the old stereotypes for Welshmen and Scotsmen? My mother said we were (from generations ago) Scots-Irish, Welsh, and English among other things.
I see Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes say that someone is a Welshman like that is the answer to a question. Same with "he's a Scotsman". I don't live there so I have never had any idea what any of this meant. Seriously, can someone tell me? You're not going to hurt my feelings. What were the old stereotypes for Welshmen and Scotsmen?Thank you.
Thank you very much for taking the time Anon. I appreciate it.
