Premise: reparations are impossible to administer.
I want someone ON THE PRO SIDE of using my tax dollars for reparations to address each case I list with a logical answer.
Because no one is owning slaves and no one picked cotton. there are plenty of later immigrants that never owned a slave yet will be robbed to pay off the grievence industry that will certainly take it's administrative cut.
How are reparations defined?
Item 1- Before 1776, all slave owners were Colonialst British and freed blacks. So any slave benefit prior to 1776 cannot be counted. Those slave progeny need to take their grievence to the British crown and not the US taxpayer.
Item 2- If you were a black slave owned by a black do you get reparations?
Item 3- If a slave of African origin escaped from a non-US Carribean sugar plantation and immgrated to the USA, then are US citizens repsonsible since the slave labor benefit was realized by another nation's (Carribean, French, Dutch) sugar plantation?
Item 4- What if the modern american has both slave and slave owner ancestry? Do they only get half (or none) reparation since their family also directly benefitted from slave ownership?
Item 5- What about slaves that are not african? Slavery is not a condition of race.
Item 6- How does the government assess african immgrants that arrived in the USA after Slavery was abolished? They were never slaves. They should not recieive reparations in any manner.
Item 7 - My ancestors were Irish slaves.
My ancestors were also pre ww1 Germans and Poles and Canadians who never owned a slave.
Is my reparation only a fraction? Are reparations only for slaves of african ancestry? If so, reparations are a racist policy and is about wealth transfer and nothing to do with slave reparations.
If we want to talk reparations, it wasn't Americans selling them and it wasn't Americans shipping them. Most, if not all African slaves were Prisoners of War from other African Tribes. Look to modern day slave markets in Libyia. Who runs those markets? Answer is Muslims. The Progency of African slaves should have a much bigger grievence with Muslims who were responsible for 100% of the slave markets compare to 4% of US citizens (pre 1865 4% not modern 4%) who owned slaves.

Most slaves were shipped to Brazil, and the Carribean than to the USA. As such no American of Haitian ancecestry qualifies for reparations from the US tax payer.

Modern day slavery is not the issue tied with US reparations, It is 100% presented to the black community.
