>I think that's when we do our best work
When our best work appears.
Was discussing that with spouseanon this morning. In school, he played some baseball and was skilled at it. As catcher, he would read the batter's and pitcher's body language, before calling the pitch. He would "use the force Luke", "search your feelings Luke, you know it to be true", and sense what pitch was going to work on that batter, then he would call it. And it would work. He also makes good calls concerning people we read about โ for example Christopher Wray. "Trust Wray?" He always said Wray is deep state. Appears he was right. I've learned that his instincts are so often right.
Autists cogitate on every scrap of info, and without knowing how, their mental "analog computer" calculates the answer and then sometimes we become conscious of that answer emerging from unconsciousness.
We all do that to a certain extent. It has different names. Intuition. Inspiration. Zen. Getting into the Zone. Musicians have it when performing. Artists when drawing. Writers, Poets, Inventors, Athletes, martial artists, etc. All creators experience it to differing degrees.
When it happens, you KNOW something is working through you. Your hands, voice, eyes, body are doing a task at which you are skilled, but it's effortless and beautiful.
Have experienced that in many completely different realms of endeavor. It's real.
We related it to Matt 25:29:
For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
Interpretation: As long as one continues to work with their gifts "in the zone" for a good cause, they receive even more of that gift. But the person who does not make any effort, will lose even what little gift they have.
Not trying to preach or anything, just sayin' how it seems to me.
