I've started a reply a couple of times and then bailed as I'm thinking through things. So take the below as simply thoughts for discussion.
Press Release format - I'm wondering if we might leverage a press release process to get certain kinds of news out. In this case, writers that cover specific subject matter receive releases and are pitched to cover the story. As relationships are built, some writers may receive the release before others, either as an exclusive or under embargo until a defined time (they get a head start). In this process, the press release contains raw material for the writer to use main headline, background information, quotes, etc. but they write the final article. The point being that their egos may not like a finished article format. The Op-Eds I've seen thus far may be too good for them to pick up. Just thinking through how to get the right writers to bite and become an effective conduit. May not be possible.
Watchdog orgs - Is there a way to become, or tap into, watchdog orgs that call out the editorial decisions of news orgs. Could we target an organization like the MRC and challenge them to call out the major gaps and lies in coverage that we see?
Sadly they may be comped too, and interestingly one of their backers is Castle Rock.
The MRC has received financial support from several foundations, including the Bradley, Scaife, Olin, Castle Rock, Carthage and JM foundations.

Putting it all together - Can we create our own scorecard (maybe a meme template) that shows who entirely missed a story (editorial board), who covered it but lied (Deep State asset), and who got it right (white hat).
